Apple’s new HomePod mini smart speaker has been available for pre-order since Friday, and delivery times are already sliding into early December.
While the first wave of HomePod mini deliveries is expected to take place on Monday, November 16, supply constraints have hit both the white and space gray variants of the device, with the space gray option showing the longest delivery delays.
As of the publishing of this article, the space gray HomePod mini shows a delivery range of between December 2 and December 9 when Express Shipping is selected. Selecting Standard Delivery shows a December 3 to December 10 date range.
The white color option currently shows a delivery date range of between November 24 and December 2 with Express Delivery selected, and between November 25 and December 3 if Standard Delivery is selected. SO, if you’re looking to get a new HomePod mini sooner rather than later, the White color option is the one to go for.
While the difference in delivery dates could indicate that the Space Gray color has proven to be the more popular option for the new mini smart speaker. Or, it could simply mean the Space Gray model is facing supply chain or manufacturing issues.
