Apple on Wednesday released a new version of the already released iOS 14.2 update, which apparently targets iPhone 12 devices that are not yet running the new version of the operating system.
Designated build 18B111, the new iOS 14.2 variant is a few revisions later than the 18B92 build that was released on November 5. The update was made available to iPhone 12, iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max devices.
Apple did not specify what, if any, changes were made between build 18B92 and 18B111. However, they were likely minor changes, since the update is only being offered to devices running iOS 14.1. Devices already updated to iOS 14.2 will not see the download.
iOS 14.2 included several new features, including 100 new emoji, new wallpapers, support for iPhone 12 Leather Sleeve with MagSafe, and more. The update also included fixes for a number of bugs that were not fixed in iOS 14.1.
iOS 14.2 is available as an over-the-air update on eligible devices, in the Settings app. To access the new software, go to “Settings” -> “General” -> “Software Update.”
