On the heels of the unveiling of Apple’s new iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max, the Cupertino firm is now offering pre-approval for the iPhone Upgrade Program ahead of when the first pre-orders begin this Friday
Both new and existing iPhone Upgrade Program members can use the Apple Store app on their current iPhone to get through the pre-approval steps to get ready to buy a new iPhone 12 model when pre-orders begin on October 16.
MacRumors notes that pre-approvals are available until 9:00 p.m. Pacific Time on October 15 for those who want to purchase an iPhone 12 or iPhone 12 Pro through the iPhone Upgrade Program.
The pre-approval program is intended to simplify the process for iPhone Upgrade Program members to purchase a new iPhone immediately when pre-orders become available.
iPhone Upgrade Users can select their preferred iPhone, confirm which carrier they’ll be using, and get loan approval, so they’ll be ready to go when it’s time to submit their pre-order.
iPhone Upgrade Program pricing starts at $49.91 per month for the iPhone 12 Pro and $39.50 per month for the iPhone 12. AppleCare+ is also included in the monthly price.
iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro pre-orders begin at 5:00 a.m. Pacific Time on Friday, October 16, and the first orders should begin arriving to customers on Friday, October 23. Customers who prefer an iPhone 12 Pro Max or iPhone 12 mini will need to cool their heels until pre-order begins on November 6 with a launch to on November 13.
