iPhone owners that keep their device encased in a leather case while charging it with Apple’s new MagSafe Charger may find that the case will have a circular imprint from the contact with the charger.
A new Apple support document published today warns users of the possible imprint on the iPhone case. While Apple’s leather cases for the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro won’t be available until November 6, photos have surfaced on the internet (via MacRumors) of a circular imprint on an Apple silicone case, so other cases can be imprinted too.
In addition to the imprint warning, Apple’s support document also offers up some other information about the MagSafe Charger:
Apple has also added information tot heir support site telling how to clean MagSafe accessories:
MagSafe Charger contains magnets that might attract debris during everyday use. Brush off any debris from the metal ring before cleaning this accessory.
Unplug your MagSafe Charger from power. Then use a soft, slightly damp, lint-free cloth to wipe the silicone middle of the charging area. Don’t use window cleaners, household cleaners, aerosol sprays, solvents, ammonia, abrasives, or cleaners containing hydrogen peroxide to clean MagSafe Charger.
The new iPhone 12 lineup offers a MagSafe feature that offers fast induction charging through new Apple MagSafe chargers, as well as the ability to attach accessories magnetically to the backside of the iPhone.
