Apple has expanded its Apple Maps “Look Around” feature to Phoenix, Arizona, providing 3D street-level images. The feature is similar to Google’s Street View feature.
Look Around offer Apple Maps users the ability to zoom in on a particular area, and view the area as if they were walking or driving down the street. High-resolution and 3D photography are used to provide the view. The feature is supported on any iOS device running iOS 13 or iPadOS 13 or higher, and any Mac running macOS 10.15 Catalina or higher.
Apple describes Look Around this way:
Maps offers interactive street-level imagery with high-resolution, 3D photography and smooth and seamless transitions through major cities with Look Around. Explore select cities with an interactive 3D experience that gives you a 360‑degree view of a place. And enjoy smooth and seamless transitions as you navigate your way around.
In addition to Phoenix, Arizona, Look Around is also available for the following locations (according to Apple’s website):
Apple has been slowly adding the Look Around feature to new cities. Though not yet mentioned on Apple’s website, Look Around last week expanded to London, Dublin, and Edinburgh.
