The Hailee Steinfeld vehicle “Dickinson” was one of the first exclusive series to debut during the Apple TV+ launch in November 2019, and it will also be one of the first to launch a new season of shows.
Season two of the series will premiere on Friday, January 8. The first three episodes of the season will become available on that date with new episodes to come out each Friday after that.
“Dickinson” is a half-hour comedy series “that audaciously explores the constraints of society, gender, and family from the perspective of rebellious young poet Emily Dickinson.”
“Dickinson” star Hailee Steinfeld is known for her roles in movies, including “True Grit,” “Pitch Perfect 2,” Pitch Perfect 3,” and others.
Also appearing in the series is Jane Krakowski as Dickinson’s mother, Toby Huss as Dickinson’s father, and Anna Baryshnikov as Dickinson’s sister.
Apple has also confirmed that “Dickinson” is the first Apple TV+ show to be renewed for a third season. Apple launch shows “For All Mankind,” “The Morning Show,” and “See” have been renewed for second seasons that will premiere during 2021.
