Some Apple Watch Series 3 users say they’ve experienced repeated crashes and shutdowns with their wearables after installing the watchOS 7 update.
It isn’t unusual to see users experiencing issues with their devices after any major update, and most issues are usually fixed in patches and updates once the issues are discovered. However, that is of little solace to Apple Watch Series 3 users that appear to be getting hit with the majority of watchOS 7 issues.
A thread in Apple’s support forums includes a series of messages from Apple Watch Series 3 users that complain of stability issues with their devices after updating to watchOS 7. Series 3 owner TJay64 kicked off the thread with the following description of their issues:
My series 3 completed an auto update overnight to Watch OS7. Today it has shut itself down at least 3 times, locked itself while on my wrist about 4 times, failed to load complications on multiple faces (weather, activity rings, date etc), disconnected from my phone at least twice. It has also dropped to less than 50% battery in about 8 hours, normally it is still in the 80’s. Is anyone else having these issues? This has been the buggiest upgrade I have seen.
Other users say they have been forced to reset their Apple Watch to get the watchOS 7 update to install properly, and have experienced repeated restarts and slow complication reloads after restarting their wearable. Meanwhile, other users say they’re seeing slow Weather updates, and are being forced to re-enter their passcode while still wearing the Apple Watch.
Hopefully, Apple has taken note of the issues and will soon have a solution for the issues. Stay tuned.
