Google has rolled out its promised new Google Maps app designed for the Apple Watch, which offers turn-by-turn directions along with ETAs so you know when you can expect to arrive at your destination.
MacRumors reports the new Apple Watch app has gone live based on reports from Reddit users who were able to download the latest iPhone update and were able to install Google Maps on their Apple Watch.
The Apple Watch app mirrors the directions that have already been input on the iPhone and does not include an option for getting directions directly on the Apple Watch. The app relies on the iPhone version of the app but does provide access to saved destinations.
Google Map users can benefit from turn-by-turn directions, as well as ETAs so you’ll have an idea of when you’ll reach your destination. The app includes a Google Maps watch face complication, and offers multiple travel modes,. such as navigation with a car, on public transit, riding a bike, or on foot.
Google Maps is a free download from the App Store. [GET IT HERE]
