It’s looking more and more like Apple’s iPhone 12 event could be held on Tuesday, October 13. That information comes from numerous sources, including both UK and Dutch cellular providers, as well as semi-reliable leaker Jon Prosser.
MacRumors reports that an employee at a UK cellular carrier has told them that the event would be held on October 13 and that Apple would be accepting pre-orders directly after the event and launch the new iPhones on October 16.
It should be noted, that is an unusually short period of time between pre-orders and the actual launch of the devices. As MacRumors supposes, it’s quite possible that the source is confusing the pre-order and launch date timelines. Pre-orders could actually be set to happen on the 16th. If that’s the case, a launch would logically follow on October 23, as other sources have suggested.
Tuesday the 16th does make sense, as it’s a Tuesday, and Apple loves to launch new products on a Tuesday. Apple also loves to hold events during the second week of a month.
That same October 13 was also reported by AppleInsider in a report sourcing information from a Dutch mobile operator. Plus, leaker Jon Prosser, who admittedly has a somewhat mixed track record when it comes to Apple’s plans also claims the iPhone event will take place on October 13 with pre-orders on the 16th and launch on the 23rd.
Lines up with the dates I have you last month đź‘€

Even if the event does land on October 13, we may not see all of the iPhone 12 models at once. Many rumors have suggested a staggered iPhone launch, with some models debuting in October, while others will wait to make the scene until as late as November.
Many rumors suggest he 5.4 and 6.1-inch low-cost iPhones will be available in October, with the Pro models hitting shelves at a later date due to COVID-19 pandemic-related supply and production constraints.
If the event is set for October 13, Apple should be releasing information and invites for the event within the next one to two weeks. Stay tuned.
