Earlier this week, a well-known leaker claimed that the iPhone 12 lineup would carry the following monikers: “iPhone 12 mini,” “iPhone 12,” “iPhone 12 Pro,” and “iPhone 12 Pro Max.” Today, leaked photos that allegedly show those same product names on stickers for unreleased Silicone iPhone cases.
The photos -shared by Twitter leaker DuanRui – show three stickers with the associated handset sizes written alongside them. The sizes correspond to the expected sizes of the upcoming iPhone 12 lineup. The 5.4-inch model is allegedly the “iPhone 12 mini,” the 6.7-inch model being the ”iPhone 12 Pro Max,” and the two 6.1-inch models being the ”iPhone 12 / iPhone 12 Pro.”
The tags for the three black silicone cases show model numbers “MHL732M/A” and “MHLG32M/A,” neither of which Apple has used in the past.
DuanRui last month shared photos of an iPad Air pamphlet with an illustration of an all-screen display that turned out to be authentic.
The iPhone 12 mini would be the first iPhone to be tagged with the “mini” name, which has been seen on the iPad mini, Mac mini, and iPod mini. Measuring in at 5.4-in, the iPhone 12 mini would be smaller than last year’s smallest iPhone, the iPhone 11 Pro, which comes in at 5.8-in.
Apple will debut its new iPhone lineup in October, perhaps on October 13, with shipping to begin later that month. We may see a staggered release of the iPhone 12 lineup, with some models not hitting shelves until sometime in November.
