Photo Leak Indicates ‘iPhone 12’ to Ship With 20-Watt Power Adapter

New photos shared by Twitter leaker Mr White show Apple may ship some of its upcoming “iPhone 12” models with a 20-watt PD USB-C adapter in the box. The tweet was originally shared by 9to5Mac.

Apple’s current lineup of phones come with lower wattage chargers. iPhone 11 Pro models include an 18-watt USB-C fast charger in the box, while the iPhone 11 comes with a 5-watt adapter, which is the same wattage charger that was included with the original iPhone 13 years ago.

Most rumors have indicated that Apple will offer an all-OLED iPhone lineup for 2020. The “iPhone 12” lineup is expected to include one new 5.4-inch device, two 6.1-inch models, and one 6.7-inch handset.

The 6.7-inch ‌‌‌iPhone‌‌‌ and one 6.1-inch model are expected to be higher-end OLED devices with triple-lens cameras, making them the most likely candidates for the 20-watt adapter. However, Apple could surprise everyone and include the fast-charging adapter with all of its 2020 iPhones. Only time will tell.
