Apple will be temporarily re-closing 11 of its US retail stores, due to new COVID-19 outbreaks across the country. When Apple began re-opening its retail locations in May, it had promised it would not hesitate to close locations again if necessary.
As states across the US have began allowing businesses to re-open and allow their citizens to return to some semblance of a normal life, there have been new outbreaks reported in certain areas of the country.
Apple tracks local health data in the states where it has stores located and has identified areas in Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Arizona where it will once again close stores.
Apple’s announcement:
Due to current COVID-19 conditions in some of the communities we serve, we are temporarily closing stores in these areas. We take this step with an abundance of caution as we closely monitor the situation and we look forward to having our teams and customers back as soon as possible. For help with an Apple product, more ways to shop, or additional information on our stores, please visit http://apple.com/retail.
