Apple today released watchOS 6.2.6, the ninth update to the watchOS 6 operating system that’s designed to run on modern Apple Watch models. The new update comes a little over a week after the launch of watchOS 6.2.5.
The watchOS 6.2.6 release can be installed on an Apple Watch with the proper configuration profile installed, via the Watch app on the device’s attached iPhone. Go to “General” -> “Software Update” to install the new software. The Watch should have at least 50% battery life, be connected to a charger, and be in the range of the iPhone.
Apple’s release notes say the watchOS 6.2.6 update includes “security fixes” and should be installed by all Apple Watch owners with a compatible model (Apple Watch Series 1 and later).
