As was expected, Apple has officially launched its Mac trade-in program at its retail stores in the United States and Canada.
The program allows customers to exchange a Mac for credit that can be put on a gift card or used to reduce the cost of a new computer.
While Apple has allowed customers to do trade-ins on its website but hasn’t previously accepted Mac trade-ins at its physical stores. The new Mac Trade-in option joins in-store trade-in options for iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch customers.
Bloomberg scribe Mark Gurman tweeted on Wednesday that he had spotted Apple’s removal of previous wording on its Apple Trade-In webpage that said Mac trade-ins were available online only.
