Apple on Monday launched a new Apple Card program and website. Both are designed to help Apple Card applicants that were declined to improve their credit score to help them qualify.
TechCrunch reports declined Apple Card applicants may begin receiving notifications on their device later today, offering them the “Path to Apple Card” program.
The opt-in program can run up to 4 months and is designed to help them improve the specific financial marker that may get them approved the next time they apply. It uses the information Goldman Sachs used to determine their creditworthiness to outline the reasons why they were declined.
If a user opts-in for the program, they will receive a once-a-month update on their progress on the specific tasks that will help them improve their credit rating. These can include resolving past due balances, making payments to secured and unsecured debt accounts on time, and lowering credit card and personal loan debt.
Once a customer completes the program, Apple will invite them to re-apply for the Apple Card. While many customers will already be aware of how credit and the approval system for loans works, the program could be a great help for those that may not have a complete understanding of how various factors can affect their creditworthiness.
