The rumor comes from WaveTech, a source with no known track record on supplying accurate information about Apple’s upcoming plans. However, the rumor has gained wide attention.
Powerbeats Pro are currently available only in subdued colors, including black, ivory, moss, and navy. Brighter colors would likely be well received by Beats users.
While rumors floated earlier this year that Apple was planning to debut new Powerbeats Pro 2 earbuds, regulatory documents indicate the “Powerbeats Pro 2” will be a minor refresh that changes the model number. Those new model numbers could be used for the new spring colors. Time will tell.
