As anticipated, Beats today officially announced four new colors for its Powerbeats Pro wireless earphones. The new colors, which will go on sale on June 9, are Spring Yellow, Cloud Pink, Lava Red, and Glacier Blue.
The new color option will be priced the same as the current colors, $249.95. Other than the new colors, the new Powerbeats Pro models are identical to the original model. They provide up to nine hours of listening time. The charging case brings the total listening time to over 24 hours. A “Fast Fuel” five-minute charge results in up to an hour and a half of playback time.
Powerbeats Pro first debuted in April 2009 and were Apple’s first completely wireless Beats earphones. They are equipped with the same H1 chip used in the second-generation AirPods, which enables “Hey Siri” as well as faster connections to the iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, and other devices.
The sports-focused earphones offer IPX4 sweat and water resistance, so they can stand up to sweaty gym sessions, but don’t take a dip in the pool while wearing them.
The earphones include on-ear volume and track controls on each earbud, and adjustable ear hooks keep them in place during vigorous workouts. Four sizes of eartips are included.
