Apple Releases watchOS 6.2.5 With ECG App in Saudi Arabia, But New Pride Watch Faces Are Missing

Apple today released watchOS 6.2.5, the eighth update to the watchOS 6 operating system that’s designed to run on modern Apple Watch models.

The watchOS 6.2.5 beta can be installed on an Apple Watch with the proper configuration profile installed, via the Watch app on the device’s attached iPhone. Go to “General” -> “Software Update” to install the new software. The Watch should have at least 50% battery life, be connected to a charger, and be in the range of the iPhone.

watchOS 6.2.5 brings ECG functionality and irregular heart rhythm notifications to Saudi Arabia. No other new features have been as yet discovered in watchOS 6.2.5, but we’ll update this article if we hear of anything new.

The update was expected to include new Pride watch faces, but some users report the new faces are not showing up on their watches.

The Apple Support account on Twitter has no explanation for the problem, and it’s providing generic answers to users like “restart your iPhone and Apple Watch after the update.”
