A new report claims Apple’s new lower-cost iPhone SE could launch as early as tomorrow, Friday, April 3. 9to5Mac says a tip from a “highly trusted reader,” tells them that while they can’t be certain about the launch date, “Apple could reveal and begin taking orders for the new iPhone as soon as tomorrow.”
The report says Apple is planning to call the new $399 handset the “iPhone SE” just like the 2016 iPhone SE that it is set to replace.
Color options will include:
- White
- Black
- PRODUCT (Red)
Five iPhone SE cases will also be available:
- Black silicone
- White silicone
- Red leather
- Black leather
- Midnight blue leather
Three storage tiers will be available for the new iPhone SE:
- 64GB
- 128GB
- 256GB
Previous rumors and reports have suggested the 2020 iPhone SE will look identical in design on the outside to the 4.7-inch iPhone 8, with a thick top and bottom bezels and a Touch ID-enabled Home button. The device will boast a single-lens rear-facing camera, NFC support, and the same A13 chip that powers the iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro lineups.
A report from earlier this week indicated merchants are receiving cases for the new handset, which will be available beginning Sunday, April 5.
