Multiple Third-generation Apple TV owners are reporting issues viewing certain types of YouTube content. Hundreds of users have complained about the issue on Apple’s support forums and in YouTube’s Help Center. (Via MacRumors)
Users report they are having issues accessing certain YouTube content such as music videos. When attempting to watch a music video, viewers are shown an error message saying, “An error occurred loading this content. Try again later.”
One Reddit user says Apple and YouTube owner Google are both pointing fingers at each other as the source of the problem, which apparently began over two weeks ago.
In correspondence with Apple customer service, Apple claims that the issue is caused by YouTube (owned by Google).
Google has not addressed nor acknowledged the problem, despite numerous reports being filed and submitted over the course of more than two weeks.
Some users report trying to fix the issue by rebooting their modem, rebooting their router; clearing cookies on YouTube, rebooting the Apple TV, factory resetting the Apple TV 3, and powering down the Apple TV and powering it back up again.
