Apple Seeds Fourth Beta of watchOS 6.2 to Developers

Apple on Wednesday released the fourth beta of watchOS 6.2 to developers for testing. The new beta comes one week after the third beta release.

watchOS 6.2

The watchOS 6.2 beta can be installed on an Apple Watch with the proper configuration profile installed, via the Watch app on the device’s attached iPhone. Go to “General” -> “Software Update” to install the new software. The Watch should have at least 50% battery life, be connected to a charger, and be in the range of the iPhone.

The watchOS 6.2 update brings support for in-app purchases to the App Store for ‌Apple Watch‌ and will allow developers to sell ‌Apple Watch‌ apps that offer in-app purchase options.

Code in the iOS 13.4 beta suggests that both the ‌iPhone‌ and the ‌Apple Watch‌ will in the future have a “CarKey” feature that will allow them to be used to unlock NFC-capable vehicles.

As usual, MacTrast and Apple both warn users to not install any betas on your daily driver Apple Watch, instead only install betas on a device set aside for testing purposes.
