Video sharing app TikTok was the most downloaded iOS app around the world in the last quarter of 2019. Meanwhile, the Disney+ app was the most downloaded in the U.S. during the same period. Those numbers are from analytics company SensorTower.
The top five most downloaded iOS app around the world in Q4 2019 were:
- TikTok
- YouTube
TikTok also snagged second place in the U.S., despite concerns over the app’s possible sending of personal data to China, and how it makes it easy for predators to message local children through the app. The company had been fined $5.7 million by the FTC for an unrelated child protection violation
The DIsney+ app achieved its first-place finish in the U.S. despite the fact it wasn’t released until November 12.
The top 10 most downloaded iOS apps in the US were:

- TikTok
- YouTube
- Gmail
- Netflix
- Facebook Messenger
- Amazon
- Spotify
In gaming, Call of Duty: Mobile was the big winner, as it took top billing in every category:

- App Store Europe
- Google Play Europe
The top five US iOS games list top five was rounded out by Ink Inc, Mario Kart Tour, and Rescue Cut.
