Apple on Thursday seeded the fourth beta of the upcoming tvOS 13.3 update to developers and public beta testers for testing. The new beta comes two weeks after the release of the third beta.
The tvOS 13,3 beta is compatible with fourth and fifth-generation Apple TV models. The new beta can be downloaded to a compatible Apple TV that has the proper profile installed.
Other than the big annual releases, tvOS updates are traditionally minor in scale, containing under-the-hood performance improvements and bug fixes, rather than offering any major front-facing changes.
However, the 13.3 does include a new setting that’s designed to allow users to change the main banner interface in the TV+ app from “What to Watch” to “Up Next,” which displays content from shows that you’re already watching instead of showing content suggestions.
The option can be accessed by going to “Settings” -> “Apps” -> “TV”. Then, select “Home Screen” and select “Up Next” in the “Top Shelf” section.
So far, nothing else major has been discovered in the first two betas, but we’ll let you know if anything major is discovered in this beta.
As usual, MacTrast and Apple both warn users to not install any betas on your daily driver Apple TV, instead only install it on a device set aside for testing purposes.
