Not Seeing Your Apple TV+ 1-Year Free Trial Offer? – Here’s What to Do

Apple TV+ launched today, November 1, and folks that purchase an iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, iPod touch, or Mac after September 10th will receive a free year of Apple TV+ service.

However, some iPhone 11 owners are reporting they’re not seeing the free, year-long trial on their device. If the trial isn’t appearing for you, then try the following, which reportedly helps you activate the trial:

  1. Open a desktop web browser, go to https://tv.apple.com and log in with your Apple ID credentials.
  2. You should be able to accept the 1-year free trial offer from there.
  3. On your iPhone, sign out of the TV app, close it, then launch the app and log-in again.
  4. Your one-year Apple TV+ trial subscription should now be active.

If this doesn’t work for you, either contact Apple support, or wait for the Disney+ streaming service to debut later this month. (I’m kidding, call Apple Support, they can probably help you.)

BTW, although it wasn’t mentioned previously by Apple, the Cupertino firm is offering a one-year subscription option for their fledgling streaming service, that can save you a decent piece of change over the monthly payment option.

A one-year Apple TV+ subscription is available for $49.99, which is a $9.89 annual saving over the $4.99 monthly plan. Nice, there’s the first month of Disney+ right there, and a few bucks left over for popcorn.
