MacPaw’s app subscription service, Setapp, launched in January 2017, providing Mac users an alternative to the Mac App Store. The service offered unlimited access to over 60 Mac apps in a variety of categories for a $9.99 per month subscription fee.
Setapp has since grown its software collection to more than 160 apps, and has 1 million users. This week, the service has launched the public beta of “Setapp for Teams,” which offers the same collection of apps at a slightly-reduced per-user pricing and single-point billing for a company or organization.
For a team of four users, Setapp is $8.99 per user per month. Additional team members can gain access for $7.99 per month per user. Each user can use Setapp on one device, an additional device is $7.99 per month.
MacPaw says the new Teams option will remain in beta for awhile, as it is working to add features like single sign-on, the ability to manage access to apps, and user groups.
The Setapp catalog includes popular apps such as CleanMyMac, Ulysses, Hype, Timing, PDFpen, ForkLift, Canary Mail, and more. Categories include design, writing, social media, productivity, an maintenance tools, all from well known and approved vendors.
