Apple on Tuesday released the first developer beta of watchOS 6.1.1. The new beta comes a week after the public release of watchOS 6.1.
The watchOS 6.1.1 beta can be installed on Watches with the proper configuration profile installed, via the Apple Watch app on the device’s attached iPhone. Go to “General” -> “Software Update” to install the new software. The Apple Watch should have at least 50% battery life, be connected to a charger, and be in range of the iPhone.
It isn’t yet clear if there are any new features in the watchOS 6.1.1 beta, and considering its a minor beta number, there might only be the usual bug fixes and performance enhancements. However, if we hear of any new features, we’ll be sure to fill you in.
