Some Apple TV users are reporting their TV app crashes while they are browsing content in the app.
The TV app is a major part of the Apple TV experience, as Apple uses the app to bring together content from third-party apps, Apple TV Channels, iTunes purchases and more. Beginning November 1, the TV app will include TV and film content from the Apple TV+ streaming service.
Users tell 9to5Mac that the app crashes while browsing, usually on the first swipe down in the Watch Now tab. The issue appears to be connected to the latest tvOS 13 update, which included a revamp of the TV app’s design.
Users report the issue affects both Apple TV and Apple TV 4k devices running the latest public release of tvOS 13. Not everyone is seeing the issue, but the problem is being reported by numerous users.
tvOS 13.2 is currently in developer beta testing but it hasn’t been determined whether it fixes the crash bug with the TV app for affected users. We’ll keep you posted as we learn more.
