Apple on Monday released an update of iOS for some older iPhone and iPad devices that are unable to be updated to iOS 13.2. The new update updates the legacy hardware to iOS 12.4.3
The iOS 12.4.3 update was quietly released, and is available to download now on a select number of older devices.
The list of iOS 12.4.3-compatible devices includes:
- iPhone 5s,
- iPhone 6 family of smartphones
- First-generation iPad Air
- Second and third-generation iPad mini
- Sixth-generation iPod touch
Apple says there are security updates included in the release, and AppleInsider reports their preliminary testing suggests that there are some improvements to two-factor authentication on older devices.
