Apple celebrated the upcoming streaming premiere of “Dickinson” Thursday, with its global premiere at St. Ann’s Warehouse in Brooklyn, New York.
Appearing exclusively on Apple TV+ beginning November 1, “Dickinson” is a half-hour comedy series “that audaciously explores the constraints of society, gender and family from the perspective of rebellious young poet Emily Dickinson.”
The complete season, including all 10 episodes, will be available to stream in over 100 countries and regions around the world as of November 1.
Hailee Steinfeld plays the title character, and her supporting cast includes Anna Baryshnikov, Adrian Blake Enscoe, Ella Hunt, Toby Huss and Jane Krakowski.
Steinfeld is known for her roles in movies, including “True Grit,” “Pitch Perfect 2,” Pitch Perfect 3,” and others.
Apple’s streaming television service will launch on November 1 in 100+ countries and regions. The service will carry a monthly fee of $4.99, and a 7-day trial will be available. Users that purchase a new iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, iPod touch, or Mac will receive a free one-year subscription. Up to six family members can share a single subscription via Family Sharing.
An original lineup of shows and movies will include “The Morning Show,” “Dickinson,” “See,” “For All Mankind” and “The Elephant Queen.” The service will be available on iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, iPod touch, Mac and other platforms, including online at tv.apple.com.
