Apple today released the first betas of their upcoming iOS 13.2 and iPadOS 13.2 updates to developers and public beta testers. The new beta comes one week after the public release of iOS 13.1 and iPadOS 13.1.
Beta builds are available to developers over the air on the devices with the proper configuration installed. Developers can also download the new betas from the Apple Developer Center.
Public beta builds of the new operating systems can be downloaded via the Apple Beta Software Program website by users signed up to take part in the testing program. The iOS 13.2 update includes the Deep Fusion image processing system for the cameras on Apple’s latest flagship handsets, the iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro. Deep Fusion uses the A13 Bionic and the Neural Engine, taking advantage of machine learning techniques to do pixel-by-pixel processing of photos, optimizing for texture, details, and noise in each part of the image.
The feature is designed to improve indoor photos and photos taken at medium lighting, and is automatically activated based on the lens being used and the available light level in the room.
The 13.2 updates also brings back the Announce with Siri feature for Messages, includes new Privacy controls for the upcoming Research app, and more.
