As is traditional before big Apple media events, the online Apple store is closed, in preparation for today’s “By innovation only” iPhone event. Apple usually takes down their online storefront to prepare it for the debut of new device models.
Visitors to the online store are greeted by a “Be right back” notice informing shoppers “We’re making updates to the Apple Store. Check back soon.” An animated Apple logo accompanies the notice.
The store will likely re-open immediately following today’s event, scheduled to kickoff at 10:00 a.m. Pacific time (1:00 p.m. Eastern time).
At the event, Apple is expected to unveil their new 2019 iPhone lineup, which is expected to include 3 new models, dubbed the “iPhone 11,” iPhone Pro,” and “iPhone Pro Max.” The new handsets are expected to offer improved cameras, (with a triple lens bump on the back of the two top-of-the-line models, and a dual camera on the “iPhone 11.”)
Apple could also unveil other new products, which could include a new Apple Watch, “Apple Tag” tracker tiles, a new MacBook, or a new iPad Pro. They could also announce they are making the previously announced new Mac Pro and Pro Display XDR available to order.
We’ll be watching the live stream along with your, and will report on the action once it happens.
