Today’s iPhone-centric Apple event will kickoff at 10:00 a.m. Pacific time (1:00 p.m. Eastern time) and no matter where you’re at, you should be able to watch the events unfold live. Here’s how.
You’ll be able to watch the event livestream via Apple’s official events page. All you’ll need is a Mac with a Safari browser, or an iOS device also using the Safari browser (But the Chrome and Firefox browsers should also work on your Mac), and any Windows PC with the Edge browser. (While other Windows browsers MIGHT work, Apple has said in the past that the stream is optimized for Edge.)
For the first time ever, Apple will post the full live streaming video of an Apple media event to the company’s YouTube channel. Users can view the event on any YouTube-compatible device by visiting the Apple YouTube channel.
Until just a few moments before the event begins, you’ll see a placeholder image at the top of the channel. When the event begins, the image will be replaced by the live stream. Following the event, you’ll be able to catch up on the happenings.
Apple TV users can watch the event on their streaming box, via the Apple Events app. The app is available in the Apple TV App Store, and it was recently updated for this event.
If you don’t already have the Apple Events app installed, go to the App Store on your Apple TV and search for “Apple Events.” Alternatively, you can hold down the microphone button on your Siri Remote and says “Search the App Store for Apple Events.”
If you can’t watch the event, follow us on Twitter. We’ll be live-tweeting during the event. Follow us at @MacTrast.
