Apple Arcade, Apple’s pay-one-price-to-play-all-you-want-from-a-smorgasboard-of-100-games subscription service is now available on the iPhone. The service will arrive on the iPhone and Apple TV on September 30.
iPhone users can now pay $4.99 per month (with a 1-month free trial) and gain access to a vast library of games. Apple Arcade at launch offers over 100 games from 35 different development studios, including Disney, Konami, Lego, Sega, and more.
New titles in the Arcade include Frogger in Toy Town, Hot Lava, Lego Brawls, Cards of Darkness, Sonic Racing, and my personal favorite, Word Laces.
All games in Apple Arcade are free of in-app purchases and advertising, and can be played offline, so there’s no worry about running up against your cellular data caps.
Once iPhone users have updated their device to iOS 13, they’ll find an “Arcade” tab in the App Store. Once they’ve subscribed to the service, users can download the games they want from the Apple Arcade tab.
Apple Arcade works with Family Sharing, so one subscription can be shared among up to six different people.
