Apple Releases Fifth Developer Beta of macOS 10.15 Catalina

The fifth round of developer betas of Apple’s upcoming operating systems is complete, as Apple has seeded the fifth beta of macOS 10.15 Catalina to developers.

Beta builds are available to developers over the air on the devices with the proper configuration installed. Developers can also download the new betas from the Apple Developer Center.

Apple released their iOS 13, iPadOS 13, and tvOS 13  fifth builds issued on Monday, while the fourth watchOS 6 developer beta was seeded on Tuesday, alongside the fourth public betas of iOS 13, iPadOS, and tvOS 13.

As usual, MacTrast and Apple both warn users to not install any betas on your daily driver Mac computer, instead only install it on a device set aside for testing purposes.

macOS 10.15 Catalina is compatible with the following Macs:

  • MacBook: 2015 and later
  • MacBook Air: 2012 and later
  • MacBook Pro: 2012 and later
  • Mac mini: 2012 and later
  • Mac: 2012 and later
  • iMac Pro: 2017 and later
  • Mac Pro – 2013 and later
