Apple on Tuesday sent out emails reminding their customers in six states about the upcoming sales tax holidays in those states. The holidays allow customers to purchase selected Apple products and either pay a reduced sales tax amount, or no sales tax at all.
The following states have sales tax holidays coming in August:
- Florida Aug 2–6
- Massachusetts Aug 17–18
- Missouri Aug 2–4
- New Mexico Aug 2–4
- South Carolina Aug 2–4
- Virginia Aug 2–4
Each state has different rules as to which products are eligible for the tax holiday benefits, so customers in the above states will want to visit Apple’s sales tax holidays webpage and click on their state for details on eligible Apple products.
In most cases, Macs, iPads, and Apple accessories are eligible. However, check your state’s listing for exact details, as some states have dollar caps, with Virginia’s cap being the most limiting.
