Apple appears to have discontinued the 12-inch MacBook. The MacBook is no longer available in Apple’s online store. The move was made the same day Apple refreshed the MacBook Air and entry-level 13-inch MacBook Pro.
The MacBook hadn’t been updated since June 2017, indicating that the 12-inch notebooks future wasn’t looking good. Things began looking bad for the MacBook last year, when the MacBook Air received a revamp, and offered many of the same features as the MacBook for $100 less.
The move streamlines Apple’s MacBook lineup, leaving the MacBook Air starting at $1,099, the 13-inch MacBook Pro starting at $1,299, and the high-end 15-inch MacBook Pro starting at $2,399.
