In the video, which runs 3 minutes and 10 seconds, Anderson shares how he considers lighting conditions and interesting backgrounds when setting up to take photographs. He also anticipates the movements of his subjects, as well as the look of the foreground and background to “get the perfect shot.”

Anderson plays with props or an object to create shadows of reflections to define subjects and obscure parts of the image that might be distracting. Anderson says post processing is also important, and of course he uses Apple’s built-in tools for adjusting contrast and lighting.
