Apple’s Powerbeats Pro Earbuds Pre-Orders Now Available in Australia and China

Apple on Friday quietly enabled pre-orders of their Powerbeats Pro earbuds in Australia and China. With that move, the first totally wireless Beats headphones are now available in seven regions.

The Powerbeats Pro were announced in April, and went on sale in the United States and Canada in early May, with an official May 10 release date. Pre-orders in France, Germany and the UK began last week.

Powerbeats Pro is scheduled to roll out in 20 countries this summer, including Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Greece, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Lichtenstein, Luxembourg, Macau, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Singapore, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.

Apple’s regional websites for all of the other countries show the device as “coming soon.”

The Powerbeats Pro include many of the same features as Apple’s popular AirPods 2, including the H1 chip that allows quick connection to an iPhone and provides simple switching between devices. The new headsets include a dedicated charging case, but they lack the wireless charging option available with the AirPods 2.

The new earbuds boast longer battery life than the AirPods, providing nine hours of listening time per bud. The charging case offers over 24 hours of additional battery life.
