Apple on Friday shared a new ad offering a humorous look at the end-to-end encryption feature in the Messages app.
The minute-long video features a woman enjoying a pedicure at a nail salon. She receives numerous iMessages on her iPhone and is laughing heartily at them. Viewers never get to see the funny messages, driving home the point that the messages sent and received in the Messages app are indeed private.
Your privacy matters. That’s why iMessage encrypts your conversations. Privacy. That’s iPhone.

The video ends with the tagline “iMessage encrypts your conversations because not everyone needs to be in on the joke.”
The video is just the latest in a series of privacy-focused videos released in the last few months.
