Apple Seeds Sixth Beta of iOS 12.3 to Developers and Public Beta Testers

Apple on Friday released its sixth beta of iOS 12.3 to developers and public beta testers. The fifth beta of Appleā€™s upcoming mobile operating system was just released earlier this week. The short time between betas could indicate Apple is preparing to release the OS to the public very soon.

The sixth beta build of iOS 12.3 is number 16F5156a, replacing the fifth build, 16F5155a.

The beta features a change in the Apple TV experience, with the TV app being update to prepare for the formal launch of the Apple TV+ service and Apple TV channels, due to arrive in the fall. The Wallet app under iOS is also gaining more features, to prepare it for the U.S. launch of the Apple Card this summer.

The new build is available to developers over the air on the devices with the proper configuration installed. Developers can also download the new betas from the Apple Developer Center.

As usual, MacTrast and Apple both warn users to not install beta software on your daily driver, be it an iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Apple Watch or Mac computer, instead only install it on a device set aside for testing purposes.
