Apple is offering Apple users an opportunity to earn a 10% bonus credit when they add funds to their Apple ID balance. The Cupertino firm will add 10% of any additions to an account up to the value of $200 before May 10.
The promotion is a repeat of one that was offered back in March. When you add credit to your Apple ID account, you can then use the balance to make payments for apps, movies, songs, and subscriptions. Customers with a valid payment card on their account can apply a one-time top-up and receive an additional credit worth 10% of the payment.
To add funds to their account, users can do the following, depending on the device they use:
On an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
- Go to Settings > [your name] > iTunes & App Store.
- Tap your Apple ID, then tap View Apple ID. You might be asked to sign in with your Apple ID. Learn how to create an Apple ID if you don’t have one.
- Tap “Add Funds to Apple ID.”1
- Tap the amount that you want to add, or tap Other to enter a specific amount.
- Tap Next, then confirm your selection. Some payment methods might prompt you to verify your purchase with a text message or other method.
After you authorize the payment, the funds credit to your Apple ID. You can use the credit to make iTunes & App Store purchases or buy more iCloud storage.
On a Mac or PC
- Open iTunes. If you’re not signed in, sign in with your Apple ID. Learn how to create an Apple ID if you don’t have one.
- From the menu bar at the top of your computer screen or at the top of the iTunes window, choose Account > View My Account.
- Sign in with your Apple ID, then click View Account.
- On the Account Information page, scroll to the Apple ID Account section, then click “Add Funds to Apple ID.”1
- Click the amount that you want to add, or click Other to enter a specific amount.
- Click Next, then confirm your selection. Some payment methods might prompt you to verify your purchase with a text message or other method.
