Apple Employees Start to Receive Apple Cards

Some Apple employees are already receiving their Apple Card credit cards. Leaker Ben Geskin has shared images on Twitter of the consumer packaging of the new credit card.

Geskin replaced the actual Apple employee’s name with his own, to protect the employee from being identified. The package bears instructions for the card’s pairing process, saying “Wake iPhone and hold here.”

The Apple Card was announced in March, and will reside digitally inside your iPhone, to use for payments where Apple Pay is accepted. Apple will also supply to customers a titanium Apple Card for shopping at locations where Apple Pay is not accepted yet.

With no card number, CVV security code, expiration date or signature on the card, Apple Card is more secure than any other physical credit card. The card includes a traditional magnetic strip on the back, and a built-in chip for chip and PIN purchases. Purchases made using the titanium card will give customers 1% cash back.

U.S. customers can now sign up for the latest news about Apple Card on apple.com/apple-card. The card will be available to qualified customers in the US this summer.
