2019 iPhone XR Successor Could Boast Rear Dual-Lens Cameras in Square Bump Like iPhone XS Replacement

Pricebaba.com and, @Onleaks today released a series of high-quality renders of the upcoming iPhone XR replacement. The renders aren’t official, but are based on the rumors and leaks that we’ve seen so far.

While the render resembles the current iPhone XR, except for the dual-lens cameras on the back of the device, which are arranged vertically with an LED flash on the right, with the whole shebang housed in a square bump.

Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has predicted the 6.1-inch iPhone XR successor will feature a dual-lens back facing camera rather than the triple lens setup that will be standard on the replacements for the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max.

While we’ve seen previous renders of the 2019 iPhones that include a square bump for the three-lens shooter, but this is the first time renders has shown the same type of housing for the twin-camera lense setup.

All three of the 2019 iPhone devices are expected to feature a 12 megapixel front-facing camera, up form the 2018 models’ 7 megapixel shooter.

Also expected in the 2019 iPhone lineup is the Liquid Retina display will stick around for another year on the iPhone XR replacement, while all three iPhones are likely to use A13 chips from TSMC.

Kuo believes the new 2019 iPhones will feature changes to the front-facing TrueDepth Camera System, used for Face ID. Kuo says the 2019 models will feature a new flood illuminator that will improve Face ID.

It’s “grain of salt-free substitute” time again, as we won’t know how many (if any) of these alleged new features actually make it into the 2019 iPhone lineup until Apple throws their usual September shindig. Stay tuned.
