Apple first announced the upcoming release of the earbuds in early April. The $250 earbuds are being pushed as a fitness=focused alternative to Apple’s AirPods. The new earbuds include earhooks to keep them in place while exercising, and also boast sweat resistance.
The Powerbeats Pro boast many of the same features as APple’s popular AirPods 2, including the H1 chip that allows quick connectivity to an iPhone and simple switching between devices. The new Beats headsets also include a dedicated charging case, but lacking the wireless charging option available with the AirPods 2.
The new Powerbeats Pro earbuds boast longer battery life than the AirPods, with nine hours of listening time per bud. The charging case offers over 24 hours of additional battery life.
