Apple has released another ad featuring the new iPhone XR Portrait Mode Depth Control “bokeh” effect. The ad features two moms looking at a recently snapped photo, when one mom asks the other, “Did you bokeh my child?”
Depth Control on iPhone XS and iPhone XR lets you adjust the bokeh effect on backgrounds before or after you shoot. So you can turn a cute portrait of two kids into a stunning portrait of one kid.
On later versions of Apple’s flagship handsets, users can adjust the amount of background “bokeh” blur after the photo has been shot.
The ad continues, as both moms discuss the effect, using “bokeh” in various ways. (To be honest, the mom with the iPhone “bokeh’d” the hell out of the other kid.)
It’s a humorous little ad spot, and well worth the 30 seconds of your life it will take to watch. Unless you don’t have a sense of humor, then don’t bother. Yeah, you. I was talking about you. So, leave, before we “bokeh” you. We will bokeh you so hard.
