Apple on Tuesday released watchOS 5.1.3, the fourth update to the watchOS 5 operating system. The update works on Apple Watch Series 1 and above devices.
WatchOS 5.1.3 can be installed via the Apple Watch app on the device’s attached iPhone. Go to “General” -> “Software Update” to install the new software. The Apple Watch should have at least 50% battery life, be connected to a charger, and be in range of the iPhone.
watchOS 5.1.3 is a minor update, providing the usual performance improvements and bug fixes. Apple’s release notes do not mention any new features.
Today’s update comes more than a month following the watchOS 5.1.2 update, which brought the long-awaited ECG feature to Apple Watch Series 4 devices. The feature allowed Series 4 users to take single-lead electrocardiograms to check their hearts for atrial fibrillation, which can cause serious health issues.
