The iOS 12 adoption rate continues to climb, nudging the 75% mark, outpacing iOS 11 adoption for the same time frame by several weeks.

iOS 11 didn’t hit a 75% share of compatible devices until December 17th, 2017. iOS 12 reached the 75% milestone on Tuesday, before sliding a bit to its current 73.13% share of the iOS pie.
The Mixpanel figures comes from data collected from analytics frameworks inside mobile apps and websites, offering a good indicator of the operating system version installed on iPhones, iPad, and iPod touch devices being used in the wild.
iOS 11 is still in use on 20.69% of iOS devices, while 6.148% of device report an earlier version of the mobile operating system.
iOS 12 has proven popular with users, especially those with older device. Apple made performance improvements a priority in iOS 12, and it seems to have paid off. Users of older devices report their devices have been rejuvenated following the installation of iOS 12.
