Apple Store Down Ahead of 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time Apple Event

As is traditional, Apple has taken down it online store ahead of today’s event, scheduled to be held at 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time in New York, at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, Howard Gilman Opera House.

The event is expected to focus on new iPad Pro and several new Mac models. Unlike before Apple’s September iPhone event, when the company failed to take down its sitemap XML leading up to the event, there aren’t a load of reliable leaks about what might debut at today’s event.

We are expecting to see new iPad Pro models with no Home button, slimmer bezels, and a TrueDepth camera system allowing Face ID for biometric authorization. A new Apple Pencil could also make an appearance.

We’re also expecting to see updated Macs, including a new low-cost notebook with a Retina display, possibly under the MacBook Air nameplate Refreshed 12-inch MacBooks are also said to be under development.

The Mac mini is also expected to get an update for the first time since 2014. While details are slim, we do expect updated hardware specs, including faster processors. A possible “Mac mini Pro” has also been rumored. We’ll see what happens.

The Apple event will kick off at 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time, 7 a.m. Pacific Time on October 30, 2018, in New York City.

Apple will live stream the event, and it can be viewed via the Events app on your Apple TV, or in your device’s browser on the company’s events website.

If you can’t view the event, don’t worry. We’ll be covering the goings on, later today.
