Apple on Friday debuted a 0.3m Apple Watch Magnetic Charger to USB-C Cable. The new cable is priced at $29, the same price as the traditional USB-A version that’s been available since the debut of the original Apple Watch.
The Apple Watch Magnetic Charger to USB-C Cable is currently available only in the 0.3m length. (The USB-A version is also available in 1 meter and 2 meter lengths.) No word on if or when Apple will offer the USB-C model in the longer lengths.
Although Apple has offered a Lightning to USB-C cable for use with iOS devices for quite awhile, a similar option hasn’t been available for the Apple Watch. The new cable allows Watch owners to charge their favorite wearable via a USB-C power adapter, or from the USB-C port of MacBooks and newer MacBook Pros.
The new 0.3m Apple Watch Magnetic Charger to USB-C Cable currently shows delivery as October 23 or 24, depending on the delivery option you select, and will be available for in-store pickup starting October 24.
