Apple has begun selling 2018 models of the 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Pro in its refurbished store in the U.S. This marks the first time the models have been available in refurbished form. Pricing for both sizes are discounted roughly 15% compared to brand new models.
These refurbed models usually go quickly, so make your move if you’ve been waiting for a chance at a refurbished 2018 MacBook Pro.
I’ve always been a big fan of refurbished Apple devices. My first MacBook was a refurbished model, and I got years of use out of it. As Apple says, refurbished MacBook Pro models are thoroughly inspected, tested, cleaned, and repackaged, with all manuals and cables included in the box. In my experience, refurbished Apple products are virtually indistinguishable from a brand new model, so these are great deals.
Refurbished MacBook Pros are covered by a standard Apple one-year warranty, which can be extended to three-years by purchasing AppleCare+ for Mac. That’ll run you an extra $379 in the U.S.
Refurbished models are also available to Canadian residents.
